As a Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs. You will report to the Regional Businesss Line Manager and work closely with the engineering and product teams to ensure the successful implementation of sales strategies.
Short Description
Promote Atlas Copco’s compressed air and gas equipment by building strong customer relationships, providing expert technical guidance, and positioning the company as a trusted solutions partner. Manage and grow existing and prospective accounts through proactive customer engagement, site surveys, technical recommendations, proposal and quotation preparation, and effective sales negotiations. Utilize CRM and sales tools to track market activities, customer insights, and competitive trends while supporting profitable sales growth. Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge, contribute to sales demonstrations and exhibitions, and ensure customer satisfaction, loyalty, and market expansion across Nigeria.
Your day-to-day
Engage in face-to-face and remote sales to new customers, as well as cross, up, and repeat sales to existing customers.
Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
Deliver sales presentations and conduct product demonstrations.
Develop medium-to-long-term sales plans and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with your targeted customers.
Ensure successful implementation of sales strategies by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs.
Your Skills And Experience
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
Minimum 3 years’ proven sales experience, within engineering, technical products, capital goods, or construction equipment sectors.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
Knowledge or application of compressed air solutions.
Team-oriented, reliable, result-oriented and committed to high quality and business profitability.
Ability to communicate effectively, negotiate, persuade, and impress key stakeholders to facilitate desired outcomes.
Willingness to enhance knowledge and expertise continually.
A driving license and willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
Commitment to uphold organizational, ethical, and social values across all business dealings.
