    Sales Capability Trainer

    Job Summary:

    • The Regional Sales Capability Trainer reports to the National Sales Capability Manager and works collaboratively with the Regional Business Manager to implement and drive sales initiatives and capability throughout the network.
    • You will be responsible for leading and coaching sales activity within the region.
    • This is done through proactive identification and development of coaching. needs and strategies within the network.
    • You will be responsible for creating and implementing training programs and overseeing the development of skills in the region.
    • Also, coordinate performance, and competencies and evaluate productivity. Be the pivot for integration of all Sales, Marketing & Planning initiatives in the region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for recruitment and hiring in the region; liaise with HR department to develop and implement a talent-based hiring program for the region.
    • Develop, implement and conduct onboarding and induction program for the region.
    • Evaluate and test competencies of the regional Sales force to identify skill gaps; develop and implement training programs that focus on enhancing the sales skills.
    • Analyze and evaluate training needs/gaps on an on-going basis to keep trainings current, effective and result driven.
    • Establish and evaluate the metrics for assessing training effectiveness.
    • Build and Implement performance indicators for each role and ongoing review of the region against these criteria.
    • Provide effective coaching and feedback to the sales team to help them improve their skills and achieve their targets.
    • Collaborate closely with other departments such as marketing, operations, and call centre to ensure that the sales team gets the resources and support it needs to succeed.
    • Conceptualize, evolve and standardize all sales processes across all channels in the region.
    • Evolve a strong productivity agenda and drive the same through region& and channel managers.
    • Understand the market forces and benchmark with other FMCG companies and Industries.
    • Support and monitor the region’s sales performance, benchmarking results and collaboratively working with the business to enhance performance.
    • Proactively develop and implement internal and external business development strategies with the regional network to achieve business growth and financial objectives.
    • Ensure effective weekly Sales meetings are conducted, leveraging skills and maximizing opportunities.
    • Develop a sales competencies framework for the region.

    Requirements(Skills and Qualifications):

    • B.Sc. / HND in Business Administration, Sales, Trade Marketing, Social Science discipline or any related course.
    • 5 - 7 years cognate experience in a sales role or a similar function gained in a major FMCG organisation.
    • Have strong field sales knowledge/experience.
    • Demonstrate passion and aptitude for training and people development.
    • Have excellent written and verbal communication, as well as facilitation skills.
    • Be able to deliver the Sales capability agenda through colleagues who are not direct line reports.
    • Be able to influence others to consider capability development as a critical area of focus need. Pay strong attention to detail.
    • Have good problem-solving abilities.
    • Relationship-building skills and ability to influence
