Job Summary

The Sales Attendant is responsible for assisting customers with wood product inquiries, processing orders, and providing excellent in-store or over-the-phone customer service. This role primarily supports day-to-day sales operations and ensures smooth coordination with inventory, logistics, and the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet and assist walk-in customers, contractors, and retail clients
• Provide basic information on wood species, grades, sizes, and availability
• Answer phone and email inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Resolve minor customer complaints or escalate as needed

Order Processing

• Enter orders accurately into ERP/CRM systems
• Verify stock availability and communicate delivery timelines
• Prepare invoices, packing lists, and receipts
• Coordinate with warehouse/logistics for order fulfillment

Sales Support

• Upsell or suggest alternative wood products when appropriate
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, pricing, and product changes
• Assist sales representatives with follow-ups and account management
• Track repeat customers and maintain records for future reference

Inventory Assistance

• Assist with stock checks and ensure proper labeling of products
• Notify supervisors of low stock, damaged items, or discrepancies

Administrative Duties

• Maintain organized sales records and documentation
• Report daily sales and customer interactions to supervisors
