Risk Officer at Basgroup

Role Summary

The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating internal and external risks that could hinder the organization\'s operations or reputation. This individual will support the development of risk management frameworks, monitor risk exposures, and collaborate with various departments to ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential risks across operational, financial, strategic, and market areas.
• Perform regular risk assessments and maintain an up-to-date risk register.
• Evaluate the likelihood and impact of identified risks.
• Develop and implement risk monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Track key risk indicators (KRIs) and escalate issues as necessary.
• Prepare periodic risk reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Support the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
• Ensure all departments comply with the company’s risk management standards.
• Promote risk awareness across the organization.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Support internal audit activities by providing risk-related insights and ensuring findings are addressed.
• Work closely with business units to identify emerging risks and ensure proper controls are in place.
• Support incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation planning.
• Assist in business continuity planning and crisis response strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in risk management, internal control, or audit roles.
• Familiarity with risk frameworks, methodologies, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience in the financial services industry is a strong advantage.
