Rigging & Lifting Specialist at SPIE Oil & Gas Services

The position is Onshore based with regular offshore missions
Rotation : 8 On / 3 Off

The Rigging & Lifting Specialist is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all rigging and lifting activities during the planning, preparation, and execution phase of the FPSO turnaround.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Project Managers and Engineering teams to integrate rigging and lifting considerations into the Turnaround plans.
• Provide expertise in the development of lifting plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Develop and refine rigging and lifting procedures specific to the Turnaround operations.
• Providing technical input on Contractors with handling and lifting content.
• Verifies that the lifting equipment satisfies regulatory requirements: Condition/fitness for purpose, SWL and WLL, Serial No. Identification Number, Valid Certificate ...
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessment for rigging and lifting activities.
• Assess and verify the competency of the team members, ensuring adherence to the established safety protocols

Requiements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, HSE, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
• Certification in Lifting and Rigging Operations.
• Extensive experience in rigging and lifting operations, with a focus on offshore operations.
• Profound knowledge of FPSO operations, including safety and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for planning and documentation.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in offshore environments.
