ROLE OVERVIEW:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply your hands-on experience in managing supermarkets (such as Shoprite, Spar, etc.) to optimize store layout, product placement, and customer flow.
• Utilize your 7 years of experience as a Retail Manager or in a similar role to lead and mentor a high-performing retail team.
• Leverage your wide experience in FMCG to strategize, plan, and execute effective merchandising and inventory management techniques.
• Analyse sales trends, customer preferences, and market dynamics to develop strategies that drive revenue growth and customer loyalty.
• Collaborate with suppliers, negotiate terms, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure product availability and favorable pricing.
• Ensure seamless customer service by setting and upholding high standards of customer engagement, satisfaction, and issue resolution.
• Monitor KPIs, sales figures, and operational metrics to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve store performance.
• Develop and implement staff training programs, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Retail Management or a closely related role is essential.
• Extensive experience in the FMCG sector with a strong understanding of market trends and consumer behaviors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing supermarkets like Shoprite, Spar, or equivalent.
