    Restaurant Manager

    JOB BRIEF

    • We are looking to hire a reputable restaurant manager who would make sure the premises run smoothly and that customers are satisfied.
    • They have responsibilities both ‘front of house’ (the part of the restaurant used by customers) and ‘back of house’ (the parts that customers don’t see, such as kitchens and storage areas).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Hiring, training and supervising restaurant staff, including service attendants, cooks and support staff.
    • Setting schedules, managing shifts and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
    • Motivating and leading the team to provide excellent customer service.
    • Ensuring that customers have a positive experience by addressing complaints, resolving issues and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Monitoring and improving service standards and the overall quality of food and beverages.
    • Creating and managing the restaurant budget, including expenses and revenue projections.
    • Tracking and controlling costs, such as food and labour costs, to maximise profitability.
    • Overseeing inventory levels, ordering supplies and managing vendor relationships.
    • Collaborating with cooks to create and upgrade menu offerings that elevate service options.
    • Ensure menu item availability in line with frequency of customer demand, customer preferences and seasonal availability.
    • Ensuring the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.

    REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS

    • Strong customer service skills and Commercial awareness.
    • Proficient in managing teams.
    • The ability to prioritise and juggle multiple responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Management and administration skills.
    • Problem-solving skills and Organisational skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office especially (Excel and Word).
    • Minimum of 2 Years experience as a Restaurant Manager
    • Proficient in English both Oral and Written.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Administrative/Hospitality Management
