Job Description

• Restaurant Cashiers are the face of a Restaurant. They interact with customers on a daily basis, helping them to order food and drinks, taking their payment, and ensuring that they have a positive experience while in the establishment.
• A Restaurant Cashier operates a cash register, communicates with customers, and assists other restaurant staff as needed. Responsibilities in this include: processing credit card payments, accepting cash payments and making change, and using a point of sale (POS) system for transactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help determine their orders.
• Process customer orders and record them in the restaurant database.
• Relay customers' orders to the kitchen staff.
• Ensure all orders are delivered to the customers in a timely manner.
• Take customer orders at the counter
• Receive payments and present change to customers
• Pack food items, make coffee, and fill beverage cup
• Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours
• Manage the register, including all credit card and cash operations
• Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period

Requirements and Skills

• Candidates should possess an OND / NCE / HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Buisness Adminsitration, Statistics or related subjects
• Must have 3-5 years experience
• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• POS/Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
