Research Technician II at IITA - International Institute of Tropical Agriculture

DUTIES: 

• Drive within and outside IITA, convey staff and casual to and from field.
• Supervise subordinate staff, Polytechnic and College of Agriculture students on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
• Assist in planning and establishment of laboratory, screenhouse and field trials and data collection
• Assist in data collection and Trial management.
• Perform screenhouse trial management and making crosses.
• Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATION:

• OND in Crop Production, Agricultural Science or related field with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.

• Knowledge of cowpea crosses.
