Description

• The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture on behalf of International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks suitable Nigerian Nationals for the position below at the Institute’s headquarter in Ibadan.

Duties

• Support establishment and maintenance of demonstration plots (forage) and feed units.
• Support demonstration of improved feed formulation and feeding practices at TRUs and pilot farms.
• Collect basic data on feed use, animal performance, and cost implications.
• Support routine field data collection on feed, forage, and dairy production.
• Record observations on technology adoption, farmer practices, and productivity changes.
• Assist in data entry, cleaning, and validation using Excel or mobile tools.
• Support organization of field visits, trainings, and demonstration events.
• Assist in handling materials, tools, and inputs required for feed innovation activities.
• Ensure availability and proper use of data collection tools and field materials.
• Support engagement with farmers, youth groups, and local stakeholders involved in feed innovation activities.
• Maintain simple records of participants, beneficiaries, and training attendance.
• Take field notes, pictures, and short activity summaries for reporting purposes.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of alternative feed technologies, including:·   HQCP production, handling, and feeding trials, BSFL production units (where applicable), Crop residue processing and utilization.

Requirements

• BSc/HND  in Agriculture, Animal Science or related field with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing similar role in a well-structured environment.
