Research and Knowledge Experts (Scientific Researchers) at Sydani Group

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualization of knowledge product ideas.
• Develop manuscripts, policy briefs, conference abstracts,
• Must be capable of writing grant proposals.
• Responsible for overseeing the data collection processes of different projects, data analyses, and report writing.
• Ensure that tools used in collecting data by various project teams are of the best standard and effectively done
• Must be part of the interviews and training of research assistants.
• Ensure that the project teams carry out the pilot testing of all tools and review findings on the field with the project teams.
• Review the survey tool before its deployment on the field.
• Give technical support in the quality checks of field data at the back end during fieldwork
• Support the dissemination of findings from the field.

​​​​​​​Requirements:

• Must necessarily have a Master's (MSc.) or doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from a recognized higher institution within or outside Nigeria.
• Must have at least 5 years of research experience.
• Must have at least 5 publications in reputable or high-impact journals
• Belong to at least one professional body.
• Must be an expert in any of the following field: Health, Energy, Education, and Agriculture
• Attended and presented at professional conferences, workshops, and seminars within and outside Nigeria.
• Must be quantitatively or qualitatively inclined. Knowledge of both would be an added advantage.
• Must have some level of research experience in project management, proposal development and grant writing.
• PhD; MSc., in any of the following related fields: Health, Energy, Climate Change, Economics, Education, and Agriculture

Basic Skills:

• Must have skills in research writing.
• Experienced in manuscript and abstract writing.
• Had previously written grant proposals
• Published in peer reviewed journals
• Attended conferences locally and internationally
