Turing.com is looking to hire a Software Development Engineer (Test) on behalf of an industry-leading video streaming platform providing OTT content in multiple countries. The engineer will be primarily responsible for writing clear, concise, and comprehensive software test cases. The platform is operating in up to 6+ countries with over 300 million users. It has raised a fund of over $226mn so far. This is a unique opportunity for candidates to work with a globally renowned company and rise quickly through the ranks. Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to developing back-end tools or frameworks to test Rest APIs, microservices, data migration, failover scenarios, and blue-green deployment
Leverage advanced coding skills to quickly and efficiently solve problems that may arise
Build distributed system for performance and scale testing
Perform tasks assigned to the team by implementing Linux commands and shell scripts based on your knowledge of building and publishing POCs
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience)
2 - 5 years of experience in software QA methodologies, tools, and Agile/Scrum development process
Sound expertise in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Proven track record with both white box and black box testing and with automated testing tools
Proficiency with Java/Python and/or any scripting languages
Good understanding of OOPs concepts, REST APIs, and their usage
Must be well versed in build release and deployment flow especially in iOS & Android
Experience with performance and/or security testing will be a plus
Solid understanding of the REST APIs, request-response structures, error and status codes
Good knowledge of SQL and scripting along with DevOps activities
Experience in working or testing with distributed and big data solutions and mid-tier caches, such as Aerospike, DynamoDB, Elastic Search, Hadoop, Cassandra, Kafka
Experience with Amazon AWS or similar cloud providers
Experience in industry best practices in SW development processes: Unit testing, OO design, code reviews, etc.
