Turing.com is looking for a Front-end Developer on behalf of an early-stage, education-focused non-profit company attracting the next generation of diverse and talented teachers. As a core member of the front-end development team, you will be responsible for building the front-end and back-end features on the platform. The company is supported by Microsoft and the U.S. Department of Education with a focus on rebranding the teaching profession. Candidates who want to contribute efforts in brainstorming, feature planning, design and innovations in the education management space are suitable for this position.

Job Responsibilities:
Work closely and collaboratively with the product team to develop new features, maintain the products, gain consensus on technical decisions and execute them
Be responsible for regression testing and vulnerability scans
Take designs from Figma and convert them into functional, user friendly UI
Interact with the other members of the engineering team to ensure our work impacts our audience
Identify bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience with front-end development
Proficient with React and Next.js
Experience with Laravel, Drupal, Jira and Salesforce is nice to have
Experienced with large systems and complex code bases
Good problem solving skills with an ability to meet deadlines
Can function effectively without too much hand-holding and micromanagement
Excellent English communication skills
