The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and fostering client relationships to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Identify and prospect potential clients, including high-net-worth individuals, corporate entities, and institutional investors, to generate new business opportunities.
Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with the company's objectives and market trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing personalized financial solutions and ensuring client satisfaction.
Collaborate with internal teams, including investment analysts, portfolio managers, and legal advisors, to tailor financial products and services to meet client needs.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, opportunities, and potential threats, providing insights to inform business strategies.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and presentations to prospective clients, articulating the value proposition and competitive advantages of our services.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring profitability and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, tracking progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and compliance standards in the financial services industry, ensuring adherence to best practices and legal guidelines.
Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of marketing activities.
Prepare the Unit’s budget, and performance reports and make the necessary presentations to Management and the Board as required.
Requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. MBA or professional certification (e.g., ICAN, CFA, ACCA) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or relationship management roles within the banking or financial services industry.
Experience in the Mutual Fund market is highly preferred.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build conversation and influence decision-makers at all levels.
Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to identify market opportunities and develop actionable plans.
Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service and achieving business objectives.
