The Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients.
Day-to-day tasks include developing and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs, and recommending suitable banking, investment, and wealth management solutions.
The role involves preparing and delivering proposals, coordinating credit and transaction processes, and ensuring timely execution of client mandates.
The Relationship Manager will monitor account performance, identify cross-selling opportunities, and collaborate with product, risk, and operations teams to provide seamless client service.
The position also requires regular market research, participation in client meetings and events, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Qualifications
Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust, understand business needs, and provide tailored financial solutions.
Solid knowledge of corporate banking, investment banking, and global markets products, and the ability to explain these offerings clearly to clients.
Analytical and financial modeling skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements, assess credit risk, and prepare high-quality proposals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and professional writing ability.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management practices in the Nigerian financial sector.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, ICAN) are an advantage.
Relevant experience in relationship management, corporate banking, or financial services, preferably within a merchant or investment banking environment.
