Radiographer at First Cardiology Consultants

Description:

• We are looking to hire a Jnr Radiographer with an excellent and outstanding and knowledge in radiographic examination with the use of imaging technologies:Xray Ct scan, and ultrasound.
• The individual should have a fantastic and organizational and reporting skills .The candidate should have the willingness and ability to handle uncertainty and conflicting demands while remaining calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Performing radiographic examination using Ultrasound, X ray, and CT scan imaging technologies in compliance with international standards.
• Ensure that all images are reviewed by an appointed Radiologist.
• Performing a wide range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce highquality images. 
• Explain procedures, (the risks, benefits, and alternatives treatments) observing and maintaining contact with patients during their waiting, examination and post examination stay in the department.
• Provision of support and reassurance to patients, taking into their account physical and psychological needs.
• Recording image identification and patient documentation quickly and accurately, observing protocols and maintaining patient’s confidentiality .
• Understand and observe health safety at work and welfare issues , including ionizing radiation regulation , to protect self and others from undue radiation exposure.
• Ensuring that equipment are regularly checked for malfunction and faults are promptly reported.
• Ensure proper handling and the use of X ray equipment and software 

Requirements:

• A degree in Radiography (B. Rad)
• Current License practice by National Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria 
• Must have completed mandatory 1 year National Youth Service Corp Program.
• Minimum of 1-2 year’s experience post qualification 
• Familiarity with the use of digital xray, CT scan, Ultrasound equipment.
• Empathy and good relationships skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Proficient in basic computer skills, power point, Excel,Ms office tools etc
• Accuracy and efficiency are prime qualities demanded by this profile. Besides the applicants must hold good knowledge of Radiographic technologies
