    Quantity Surveyor

    Job Description

    • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
    • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
    • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
    • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
    • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
    • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
    • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Traveling from the office to various sites as required.
    • Assisting in understanding project' Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Assisting in understanding project' requirements
    • Assisting in preparing monthly management reports
    • Understanding and applying health and safety regulations
    • Allocating work to subcontractors
    • Assisting in arranging payments for completed work
    • Preparing tender and contract documents
    • Writing reports.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying
    • Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Sound knowledge of construction.
    • Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
    • Self-motivated and confident
    • Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
    • Able to manage their own workload and to support others when needed
    • Able to show initiative and act proactively
    • Flexible and adaptable
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Applicant should reside within Ojota to Ikorodu.
