    Quantity Surveyor

    Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagose

    The Role

    • ​As our Quantity Surveyor, you will be the financial backbone of our projects.
    • You’ll be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
    • our goal will be to minimize costs and enhance value for money while still achieving the required standards and quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • ​Cost Estimation: Prepare initial cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed budgets.
    • ​Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and contract documents.
    • ​Contract Management: Oversee sub-contractor accounts, including variations, progress payments, and final account settlements.
    • ​Site Visits: Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and validate payment applications.
    • ​Financial Reporting: Provide regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget analysis to senior management.
    • ​Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising project integrity.

    What We’re Looking For

    • ​Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • ​Certification: Professional membership (e.g., RICS, AIQS, or local equivalent) is highly preferred.
    • ​Experience: Proven experience in the construction industry
    • ​Tech Savvy: Proficiency in QS software (like CostX, Bluebeam, or WinQS) and advanced Excel skills.
    • ​Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and site teams.
