    Quality Control Manager - Kaduna

    Job Purpose       

    • Implement & maintain GLP to ensure smooth operation of laboratories & facilitate the team with all resources required for the assessment of quality of product/ plant streams. 
    • Management of technically & administrative activities of section and ensure standard methods & calibrated instruments are being used by trained staff to produce accurate results. 

    Core Responsibilities 

    • Ensure timely completion of routine and non-routine activities of the laboratory and review of the test results for their correctness and initiate corrective actions wherever required. 
    • Ensure the quality of product dispatched is fit for use as per specifications. 
    • Identify the causes of instruments malfunctions and initiate prompt actions for troubleshooting of faulty instrument with consultation of instrument department /instrument supplier. 
    • Establishing HSFE practices and ensuring compliance among staff and contactors 
    • Identification of training needs, arrange training and evaluate the performance for their development 
    • Planning, technical evaluation and procurement of chemicals, Glassware, PPEs, Spares & other inventory required in laboratory 
    • Establish proper communication system among all staff for better understanding, motivate sub-ordinates, develop harmonious relationship with open door policy  
    • Generating technical reports and trend charts from daily, weekly and monthly analysis reports of streams and finish products 
    • Handling of customer complaints and provide analytical supports to external parties and effective coordination and cooperation between Internal and External Auditors for conducting timely audits and closure of audit findings 
    • Support in developing annual budget and monitoring procurement process & inventory control. 

    Qualifications

    • 12+ Years  of Experience in a Petrochemical / Fertilizer or related Industry with at least 5years experience on this Position 
    • HND/BSc / MSc in related discipline 
    • Knowledge of Quality Management System 
    • Understanding of raw materials and chemicals/polymer testing processes 
    • Petrochemical and Polymer/Fertilizer manufacturing technology & operations 
    • Statistical Quality Control Technique 
    • Knowledge of local, state, federal or industrial data protection / Hazardous waste treatment / EPA regulations 
    • MS Office 
    • ERP System
