Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineer at Beamco Nigeria Limited

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Implement and maintain an internal quality system designed to ensure continuous efficiency in business activities and compliance with the quality standards.
• Quality inspection and control over technical activities on site.
• Prepare, implement, review, and update the quality documents.
• Participate in project inspection and testing plan, as well as setting up procedures.
• Assist the Manager in reviewing vendors’ technical documents for supplier prequalification activities.
• Supervise all Subcontractors’ and Vendors’ activities including Third party calibration and Inspection Agencies, welding inspection, and testing activities and verify welders, inspectors, and NDT technicians’ qualifications, and check all inspection orders and reports for accuracy and depth details.
• Prepare quality plans and ITPs (Inspection and quality plan).
• Plan and lead both Internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards set by the company.
• Investigate and determine the root cause of nonconformities and advise on corrective measures in accordance with quality standards.
• Participate in Project Tendering Process

QUALIFICATION:

• Education Background; B. Eng in mechanical engineering, or related field
• Years of experience; 5 years
• Certified ASQ-CQE, ASNT Level 2, NACE, CSWIP, will be an advantage.
• IT Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, and excellent Excel skills

• Good understanding of the Quality control process.
• Ability to Interpret engineering/ mechanical drawings, codes, and standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail Oriented: Ability to pay keen attention to details.
