Job Summary

• A QA Tester is a professional who tests the functionality and usability of new or existing software before it goes live to ensure it is bug-free. They work closely with developers, providing them feedback on what needs improvement in order to produce top-quality programs that meet customer expectations

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing system specifications
• Collaborating with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Executing test cases (manual or automated) and analyzing results
• Evaluating product code according to specifications
• Creating logs to document testing phases and defects
• Reporting bugs and errors to development teams
• Helping troubleshoot issues
• Conducting post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Education and Experience

• B.Sc Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
• 3 to 5 years proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Experience in project management and QA methodology
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational skills
