QA / QC Manager at Westfield Energy Resources Limited

Job Summary:

• The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all engineering, procurement, construction, and installation activities are executed in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and company quality assurance/quality control procedures.
• The QA/QC Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of the project through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Control:

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans company
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform internal audits and inspections to verify the quality of work and adherence to procedures.

Documentation:

• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection and test plans, procedures, and records.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation and certification in a systematic and retrievable manner.
• Review and approve supplier and subcontractor quality documentation.

Inspection and Testing:

• Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and construction activities.
• Monitor and inspect welding, painting, electrical, mechanical, and structural work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies when necessary.

Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions:

• Identify, document, and report non-conformances.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to address non-conformances.
• Track and ensure closure of non-conformances and deviations.

Supplier and Subcontractor Management:

• Evaluate and approve suppliers and subcontractors based on quality performance.
• Conduct supplier and subcontractor audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Monitor and review supplier and subcontractor quality performance.

Training and Development:

• Provide training and support to project teams on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the organization.

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit quality reports to the Project Manager and project management team.
• Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders regarding quality issues and status.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001) will be an added advantage
• Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC within the EPCI industry.
• Thorough knowledge of quality assurance and quality control standards and practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
