    Public Relations Intern

    Purpose of the job:

    This post works as part of the team, to promote MyJobMag as a reliable source to get job opportunities and a place where employers can find qualified candidates.

    The post will represent and support events, online and field visits.

    The post-holder will be responsible for growing and maintaining relationships which will lead to increased signups and participation in events and programmes. The post-holder will spend considerable periods of time working on projects and strategies channeled toward converting users to the website.

    Role Outline

    The main duties and responsibilities of the post-holder will include: 

    • Act as an Account Manager to the jobseekers, developing positive relationships that lead to the conversion of jobseekers to the website. 
    • Develop links and relationships with organizations and schools to promote recruitment opportunities at MyJobMag, and to provide HR-related advice. 
    • Support talks and engagements in schools and career-related programmes as required, on issues relating to career development, career mentoring, job hunting, and recruitment. 
    • Frequently attend career events, shows, fairs, and other industry-related events – online and offline.
    • Develop and delivers career-related programs for jobseekers. This will include online and virtual events throughout the year.

    Skills

    • An excellent ability to communicate effectively with various individuals and groups, including senior leaders
    • A proven ability to deal with a varied and complex workload, including the ability to organize your own workload, and prioritizing a variety of tasks while working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
    • Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office packages
    • Ability to work with the management.
    • Able to represent MyJobMag with enthusiasm and integrity to external organizations and job seekers.
    • Ability to engage an audience in a value-driven manner.
    • Have a complete understanding of our website and all the tips and tricks around it, including best links to use, employer features, jobseeker features among others. Eg. If a jobseeker uses the “Save job” feature, what happens after? This will help her in adding value to our users.

    • Self-motivated to work independently without close supervision, using own initiative to resolve problems.
    • A positive, energetic attitude.
