    Project Planning Engineer

    Job Summary

    • The Project Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and resource availability.
    • The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to track progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work breakdown structures.
    • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project progress data.
    • Monitor project performance and progress against baseline schedules and report variances.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management.
    • Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation plans.
    • Assist in resource planning and allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
    • Update and maintain project planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling software).
    • Support the project team in claims preparation and extension of time analysis.
    • Ensure all planning documents and reports are properly documented and archived.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Timeliness and accuracy of project schedule updates.
    • On-time delivery of progress reports.
    • Number of schedule deviations detected and resolved early.
    • Level of coordination and communication with project teams.
    • Compliance with company planning procedures and documentation standards.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Minimum of 7 – 15 years’ experience in project planning/scheduling (preferably in MEP, construction, or oil & gas projects).
    • Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6/MS Project).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting abilities.
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
