Job Summary:

Our client, a key player in the oil and gas sector, is seeking an accomplished Project Manager / Business Development Manager to oversee project execution and spearhead business expansion. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of oil and gas operations, project management, and business development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple company locations, and identifying new business opportunities to drive company growth. This position requires a strong leadership presence, the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, and a keen ability to navigate industry challenges and regulations.

Candidates with PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, Business Analysis certification, or other relevant project management certifications will have an added advantage. A police clearance for criminal record verification is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Execution

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resources to meet business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Track and report key project milestones, costs, and performance metrics to senior management.

Business Development & Growth Strategy

• Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
• Prepare and present business proposals, investment opportunities, and strategic growth plans.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, agreements, and client relationships.

Stakeholder Engagement & Multi-Location Coordination

• Serve as the primary liaison between teams across all company locations, ensuring streamlined communication and project alignment.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and efficiency across departments.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

Compliance, Risk Management & Reporting

• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, financial, and operational standards within the oil and gas sector.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to protect company interests and investments.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all project activities, contracts, and business development efforts.
• Provide comprehensive reports on project progress, financial performance, and business development initiatives to senior management.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management and business development within the oil and gas sector (required).
• Strong understanding of project execution, risk assessment, and business expansion strategies.
• PMP certification is an added advantage.
• Business Analysis certification or other relevant project management certifications are added advantages.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and business initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
• Must be willing to provide police clearance for criminal record verification.
