Project Engineer at Rexworth Engineering Services

Rexworth Engineering Services Limited is a growing industrial engineering company providing coding & marking, packaging equipment, machine fabrication, industrial installations, maintenance and engineering solutions to manufacturing companies across Nigeria.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design, development and execution of industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop practical engineering solutions for customer production and process requirements.
• Prepare concepts, layouts, technical drawings and specifications for industrial equipment and installations.
• Support the design and fabrication of conveyors, feeders, machine frames, piping systems and other industrial equipment.
• Plan and supervise mechanical installation, fabrication and commissioning activities.
• Execute and coordinate industrial piping projects, including equipment connections, process piping and utility lines.
• Interpret and prepare engineering drawings, P&IDs and basic fabrication drawings.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements and assessments for new projects and machine installations.
• Develop project bills of materials, material specifications and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with fabricators, technicians, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered to specification.
• Monitor project timelines, costs, quality and technical compliance.
• Troubleshoot engineering and installation challenges during project execution.
• Prepare project documentation, service reports, installation records and technical handover documents.
• Work closely with customers to understand their production challenges and develop suitable engineering solutions.

Requirements

• HND or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' practical experience in industrial engineering, machine design, fabrication, installation or project execution.
• Proven experience in piping design and installation.
• Good understanding of mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines, conveyors, motors and industrial machinery.
• Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings, P&IDs and layouts.
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar.
• Strong understanding of fabrication methods, material selection and workshop practices.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and convert customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Good project coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and project locations within Nigeria.
• A valid driver's licence is an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

• We are looking for someone who is hands-on and solution-oriented—not just someone who can prepare drawings. The ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between the customer's site, engineering office and fabrication workshop, taking an idea from concept through design, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
