Project Engineer at LD&D Consulting

Job Brief:

To plan, design, and oversee construction activities from project inception to completion, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination

• Oversee pre-piling works and project startup activities.
• Liaise with relevant departments on materials, equipment logistics, and project planning.
• Prepare project checklists and supervise daily site operations.
• Provide daily site activity and inventory reports.
• Ensure timely mobilization and demobilization of equipment and materials.

Technical Supervision

• Supervise labor activities, equipment usage, and machine maintenance.
• Oversee rebar measurement, cage fabrication, concrete production, and cube sampling.
• Participate in land surveying and ensure accurate layout execution.
• Estimate material and labor requirements for project feasibility.
• Provide technical advice on design changes and structural modifications.

Reporting & Documentation

• Submit weekly progress and daily activity reports.
• Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and equipment.
• Ensure proper document filing and handover at project completion.

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Promote a culture of safety and ensure team adherence to standards.

Team Support

• Support project team with related tasks to ensure smooth execution.

Requirements 

• HND/BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5years of relevant construction/site engineering experience.
• Proficient in reading drawings, interpreting surveys, and using Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
• Physically fit with high attention to detail and organizational ability.
