    Project Consultant

    Position Overview

    • We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Project Consultant to join our team. The Project Consultant will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our development projects.
    • The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, a strong understanding of development challenges, and a commitment to driving social change.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Implementation: Assist in the execution of project activities, ensuring alignment with objectives and timelines.
    • Monitoring & Evaluation: Track project progress and outcomes, regularly reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project impacts.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with community leaders, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and promote collaboration.
    • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular project reports to the Project Manager and donors, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Budget Management: Assist in managing project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to organizational and donor requirements.
    • Capacity Building: Provide training and support to community members and other project stakeholders to build local capacity for project sustainability.
    • Advocacy & Communications: Collaborate with the communications team to document project stories, best practices, and lessons learned for advocacy purposes.
    • Compliance: Ensure that all project activities are in compliance with donor guidelines, organizational policies, and relevant national regulations.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in project management within an NGO or development organization, preferably in the area of peacebuilding and/or climate action.

    Skills:

    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and communities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
    • Strong understanding of the local context and key development issues.
    • Fluency in English and Hausa is required. Fluency in Fulfulde is an advantage.
