    Project Associate(Consultant)

    • We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Project Associate (Consultant) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a development professional with strong consulting skills and a deep understanding of Africa’s development landscape.
    • In this role, you’ll support the design and implementation of high-impact solutions while providing technical support to nonprofits, NGOs, and development institutions across Africa.
    • As a Project Associate, you will assist in designing and delivering strategic projects. You will provide technical assistance to nonprofits, development organizations, and CSR initiatives, helping them design and implement programs that create measurable impact. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, experienced in development research, project management, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis.
    • This consulting role is best suited for professionals who thrive in dynamic, multi-sector environments and are committed to accelerating development outcomes across Africa.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Design and Implementation

    • Support the end-to-end design and delivery of development consulting projects.
    • Contribute to project scoping, planning, and implementation frameworks.
    • Prepare strategic documents, including concept notes, proposals, program outlines, and implementation plans.
    • Coordinate logistics and manage work plans to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

    Technical Support and Advisory

    • Provide technical support to nonprofits, CSR teams, and foundations in areas such as strategy, operations, monitoring, and impact measurement.
    • Support capacity-building workshops, training sessions, and organizational assessments.
    • Offer expertise in policy development, advocacy strategies, or program frameworks as required by clients.

    Research and Analysis

    • Conduct in-depth desk research, stakeholder analysis, benchmarking studies, and contextual assessments.
    • Analyze development trends, sector data, and global frameworks (e.g., SDGs, Agenda 2063).
    • Translate findings into actionable insights to guide strategy and decision-making.

    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

    • Develop results frameworks, indicators, and M&E plans.
    • Track and evaluate the progress of programs using both qualitative and quantitative tools.
    • Synthesize lessons learned, produce reports, and make recommendations for program improvement.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

    • Engage with clients, partners, funders, and government stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
    • Represent Nolton Africa in meetings, strategy sessions, and collaborative convenings.
    • Build and nurture cross-sector partnerships to drive impact.

    Internal Coordination

    • Collaborate with internal teams to align on deliverables, timelines, and goals.
    • Provide thought leadership and support the growth of Nolton Africa’s consulting portfolio.
    • Maintain detailed documentation, track project performance, and assist with reporting.

    • Research and Analysis – Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from data and research.

    • Technical Support – Ability to support nonprofit and CSR partners with systems design, frameworks, and delivery.
    • Project Management – Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills across multiple assignments.
    • Communication Skills – Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
    • Stakeholder Engagement and Cross-Sector Collaboration – Experience working with clients, government agencies, donors, and multilaterals.
    • Adaptability and Flexibility – Ability to thrive in changing environments, meet tight deadlines, and manage uncertainty.
    • Impact Measurement and Evaluation – Experience in building or utilizing M&E frameworks for learning and accountability.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in the development sector, consulting, research, policy development, and project management.
    • Expertise in strategic planning, data analysis, and program management.
    • Strong understanding of Africa’s development landscape and public policy frameworks.
    • Prior engagement with NGOs, government institutions, CSR units, or donor-funded programs.
    • Familiarity with global and regional development frameworks (e.g., SDGs, AU Agenda 2063, Nigeria’s National Development Plans).
    • A Bachelor\'s or Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, International Relations, or a related field is preferred.
