Project Architect at The DEW Centre

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Architect / Project Manager at The DEW Centre in Lagos.
• The role will involve tasks such as space planning, interior design, architecture, interior fit-out, and interior architecture.

Qualifications

• Space Planning and Interior Design skills
• Experience in Interior Architecture and Interior Fit-out
• Background in Architecture is a plus
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field

Responsibilities:

• Project Design - Deliver on concept, technical Drawings, renders and design for clients projects

Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop detailed project plans and proposals, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Take measurements, site surveys and assessments, Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
• Anticipate and mitigate potential project risks and delays.

Budget Management:

• Work with the Project team to receive costing/ budgets from vendors & contractors, compile to draft project budgets and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.

Client Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and managing their expectations.
• Attend meetings and presentations with clients, vendors, and contractors as needed
• Address client concerns and provide updates on project progress.

Team Leadership:

• Build and lead a team of designers, contractors, and maintenance professionals.
• Delegate tasks, monitor team performance, and provide guidance and support as needed.

Operations:

• Manage the maintenance, and improvements of both DEW and home office locations as needed

Resource Management:

• Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Ensure that the project team has the necessary resources to complete projects efficiently.
• Procure supplies related to maintenance and facilities management e.g. diesel, water, PHCN, waste management, and cleaning services.

Quality Control:

• Maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship in every aspect of the project.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure work complies with design specifications and client expectations.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Keep detailed project records, including project schedules, budget reports, and change orders.
• Organize and document project information (on shared drive and hard copies where applicable)
• Provide regular weekly project status reports to clients and company management.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure that all project activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and clients.
