The Program Manager (Volunteer) will provide leadership in the planning, coordination, and implementation of DAF’s programs.
The role involves supporting project design, ensuring quality delivery, strengthening monitoring and evaluation, and fostering collaboration with partners, communities, and donors.
This is a strategic position suitable for an individual passionate about humanitarian and development work, seeking to make tangible impact while gaining hands-on experience in program management.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the design, planning, and implementation of projects across DAF’s thematic areas.
Support proposal development, grant writing, and donor reporting.
Ensure program quality and accountability to affected populations (AAP).
Supervise and guide program staff and volunteers.
Coordinate monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities.
Liaise with government, NGOs, clusters, and other partners to enhance collaboration.
Ensure mainstreaming of protection, gender equity, and climate responsiveness in all programs.
Prepare timely reports (narrative and financial) for management and stakeholders.
Support resource mobilization efforts, advocacy, and strategic partnerships.
Represent DAF in relevant meetings, workshops, and forums.
Requirements
Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or related fields (Master’s an advantage).
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the humanitarian or development sector.
Strong knowledge of project cycle management (PCM), proposal writing, and donor compliance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
