Job Descripotion

• Our client requires the services of Cleaners to join her team at Tincan Island Apapa. Successful candidates must reside within Apapa and environs, must have worked in other cleaning services.

Responsibilities

• Begin by gathering all necessary cleaning supplies (consumables) and equipment, including, gloves, cleaning solutions, mops, brooms and vacuum cleaners.
• Start by decluttering and organizing space removing any garbage or items that are out of place
• Dust all surfaces including furniture, shelves and window sills, using a dry micro fibre cloth or duster, pay close attention to hard to reach areas and corners.
• Wipe down all surfaces with suitable cleaning solution such as disinfectant or all - purpose cleaner using a clean cloth or sponge. Ensure that all areas including countertop, tables and appliances are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
• Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, such as sinks, toilets and shower areas. Use appropriate cleaning products and tools paying attention to high touch areas and areas where germs and bacteria may accumulate
• Sweep and mop all hard floors, ensuring that all dirt, dust and spills are removed. Pay extra attention to heavily trafficked areas and corners
• Vacuum all carpeted areas and rugs removing any dirt or debris. Use attachments to reach under furniture along base boards.
• Clean mirrors, glass surfaces and windows using a suitable glass cleaner and lint - free cloth or newspaper. Ensure streak - free results
• Empty and clean thrash bins and replace liners as needed
• Check and restock cleaning supplies as necessary ensuring that all supplies are properly labeled and stored.
• Follow safety procedures such as wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) using caution signs and following hazard communication guidelines
• Document any maintenance or cleanliness issue observed during the cleaning process and report them to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the cleaning process, ensuring that cleaning consumables and equipment are stored after use.

Educational / Other requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE, OND
• Must have worked as a professional cleaner in a cleaning company (THIS IS A MUST)
• Must have 3 years minimum experience in a cleaning company
• Must be able to operate cleaning machines such as Scrubbing Machine, Vaccum Machines, etc
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision
• Must be detailed in performing daily duties and assigned task
• Must be polite, honest, hardworking and disciplined
• Must be able to communicate
• Must not be someone who steals
