Role Overview

• We are recruiting for the Production leadership development role at FoodCo Nigeria Limited, a leading multichannel retail company in Nigeria. Interested applicants must be passionate about food production, have strong food safety and quality skills, attention to detail, and possess excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Learning all aspects of food production including cooking, pastry, bakery, and related processes.
• Understanding and following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality output.
• Learning how to manage production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Understudying supervisors and managers in the production team to acquire both technical and soft skills.
• Assisting in maintaining food safety and hygiene standards across all production processes.
• Learning how to monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies for smooth production.
• Supporting the development and improvement of recipes and production techniques.
• Assisting in documenting production processes, quality checks, and outputs.
• Learning to use production and inventory management software for record-keeping and reporting.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree / Higher National Diploma in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field.
• 0–2 years post NYSC experience.
• Age limit: 27 years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet production deadlines.
• Self-starter, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic production environment while handling multiple tasks.
• Strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and a positive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality standards.
• Critical-thinking skills and ability to solve operational problems efficiently.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, production techniques, and hygiene practices.
• Experience with inventory and production software is an added advantage.
