Production Manager(Layers) at Maurice Xandra Solutions

Our Client, a major player in the agricultural and agro-allied sector specializing in the production of agro-based products is in need of a Production Manager(Layers)

Job Summary: The Production  Manager will be responsible for the Coordination and supervision of medication/vaccination programme for rearing and production flock . He/She will Monitor feeding programmes to ensure that birds are fed in line with the management guide and avoid feed wastage to the barest minimum.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise morning and evening feeding and mortalities as well as medication and vaccination programme.

• Liaising with the Farm Manager/Assistant Farm Manager for instruction for proper monitoring of the unit.

• Organize special training for workers at regular intervals.

• Coordinate transfer of stock from rearing to the production section.

• Monitor and Maintain brooding equipment, such as gas brooders, baby drinkers, Feeder plates as well as ensure that clean water is provided for the chicks,

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal or Poultry Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Production and Health Science or Animal Nutrition.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Knowledgeable with the regulatory bodies regarding poultry farming and value addition.
