Job Brief

The Production and Quality Manager would ensure that all products meet consistent standards. He would develop and implement quality control tests to ensure the company's result is what it should be.

Job Responsibilities

Production

• Plan, Implement and control the production schedule. Ensure production targets are met.
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
• Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process
• Prepare and maintain production reports

Quality Management System

• Establish quality specifications and standards for raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.
• Implement and maintain a document control system for quality-related documents, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Implementing and managing quality control systems and procedures.

Food Safety

• Developing and implementing food safety programs and procedures.
• Identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.
• Overseeing sanitation and hygiene practices within the facility.

Regulatory Compliance

• Keeping up-to-date with local, national, and international food safety regulations.
• Manage quality certifications and standardization, and record-keeping for regulatory compliance.
• Ensuring compliance with labelling requirements and product claims.
• Interfacing with regulatory agencies and handling inspections.

Training and Education

• Providing training to employees on quality standards and procedures.
• Staying updated on industry trends and advancements.

Qualification and Skills

• Proven experience as quality manager
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proficient in MS Office or ERP software
• In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
• B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology or Microbiology
