    Product Manager - Fintech

    • This role will translate strategic vision into clear roadmaps, measurable outcomes, and scalable product execution while working closely with engineering, operations, compliance, sales, and marketing.

    Key Responsibilities

    Product Execution & Delivery

    • Own product backlog and sprint priorities in alignment with business objectives.
    • Translate strategic initiatives (interoperability, ISO 20022 compliance, cross-border expansion, etc.) into clear product requirements.
    • Write detailed PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
    • Drive on-time, high-quality releases across web, API, USSD, and mobile channels.

    Payments & Infrastructure Ownership

    • Manage integrations with banks, switches, telcos, and billers.
    • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance industry standards.
    • Optimize transaction routing, uptime, and performance.
    • Monitor system reliability, reconciliation flows, and settlement processes.

    Growth & Commercial Performance

    • Track and optimize core metrics:
    • Transaction count & value
    • GMV
    • Approval/success rate
    • Channel adoption (USSD, card, transfer)
    • Partner activation rate
    • Revenue per partner
    • Identify revenue expansion opportunities (cross-sell, pricing optimization, channel expansion).
    • Work with marketing to drive product adoption and usage growth.

    Partner & Ecosystem Management

    • Support onboarding of banks, billers, institutions, and aggregators.
    • Define partner SLAs and performance dashboards.
    • Identify high-value inbound/outbound transaction corridors.
    • Recommend expansion into new verticals or geographies.

    Data & Executive Reporting

    • Build structured weekly/monthly performance reports for executive management.
    • Interpret growth trends and highlight risks or opportunities.
    • Provide actionable recommendations based on product performance data.

    Customer & Market Insights

    • Conduct market research on digital payments, trends, and regulatory changes.
    • Gather institutional partner feedback.
    • Translate insights into roadmap improvements.
    • Merchants and stakeholders training on products

    Required Experience

    • 4–7+ years in fintech, payments, switching, or banking technology.
    • Strong understanding of:
    • Payment gateways
    • API-based integrations
    • Settlement & reconciliation
    • Interoperability frameworks
    • Experience working with engineering teams on backend systems.
    • Strong analytical skills (comfortable interpreting transaction data).
    • Experience collaborating with sales and marketing on GTM strategy.
