Product Manager at FareRun

Job Summary:

• As the Product Manager for Farerun in Nigeria, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our rideshare platform across the country.
• You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing strategies to achieve business goals.
• Your strategic mindset, technical expertise, and market insights will contribute to the growth and enhancement of our services nationwide.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's business objectives across various regions in Nigeria.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback to identify opportunities and challenges in the Nigerian rideshare market.

Product Development:

• Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to define product requirements and specifications.
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements.
• Work closely with developers to address technical considerations and challenges.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

• Utilize data analytics and user metrics to measure product performance and make informed decisions for continuous improvement.
• Implement A/B testing and other methods to optimize user engagement and conversion rates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with marketing, operations, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on business goals and seamless execution of product launches.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to tailor the product to the specific needs and preferences of the Nigerian market.

Business Development:

• Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, integrations, and business opportunities that can enhance the overall rideshare ecosystem in Nigeria.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience (4years) as a Product Manager, preferably in the rideshare or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian market and its unique challenges and opportunities.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Technical proficiency to engage with engineering teams and understand product development processes.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
