• We are seeking a talented Product Design Instructor to join our growing team and play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of design leaders.

Scope of Work

• The scope of work encompasses delivering assigned courses, crafting engaging materials, facilitating assessments, providing feedback, offering student support, and contributing to program and curriculum development, all while adhering to professionalism, data privacy, and intellectual property standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and create comprehensive learning materials, including lectures, design exercises, tutorials, and assessments, that align with assigned lesson plans and course objectives.
• Deliver product design courses as scheduled, adhering to the outlined syllabus and ensuring all topics are covered comprehensively.
• Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills, engaging students effectively and fostering a positive learning environment.
• Possess prior experience in teaching or training, enabling effective delivery of complex subject matter and catering to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with staff and colleagues, sharing knowledge and resources to enhance the quality of instruction and improve student outcomes.
• Assess student learning using various assessment methods such as assignments, quizzes, and exams, while providing timely and actionable feedback.
• Be accessible to students during designated office hours or by appointment, offering guidance and support throughout their learning journey.

Who you are (Requirements)

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Product Design, Product Management, Human-Computer Interaction).
• 3+ years of experience in product design or a related field.
• Possess prior experience in teaching or training, enabling effective delivery of complex subject matter and catering to diverse learning needs.
• Strong foundation in design tools, including UI/UX design software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping tools (InVision, ProtoPie).
• Experience with additional tools beneficial for product design, such as mind mapping software (Miro, Mural) and project management tools (Asana, Trello).
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. Ability to effectively deliver complex subject matter to diverse learners.
• Experience with developing and implementing various assessment methods (assignments, quizzes, exams) and providing constructive feedback.
• Strong organizational abilities with a focus on prioritization, meeting deadlines, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with colleagues and students to achieve common goals.
