We are currently seeking a Procurement Services Specialist to be responsible for ensuring the timely issuance of Purchase Orders according to a client's required time scales.
Job Details
Ensuring change order requests and TQ’s are timely addressed
Negotiating price and lead time from potential suppliers and placing Purchase orders to secure materials and obtain the best cost and supply opportunities while maintaining quality standards
Managing the supplier catalogues to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of Purchase Orders
Timely notifying End Users/Requisitioners when delivery will not meet the required schedule and escalating issues where necessary for resolution
Ensuring compliance with all of the client’s Procurement Processes
Reviewing commercial clauses, scopes, negotiating purchase orders terms and conditions, commercial pricing, and ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals are completed prior to execution
Requirements
Graduated with a minimum GPA of Second-Class Lower (2.2)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a procurement buyer or equivalent business experience
Certifications in any of the following will be an advantage: The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply (NIPS), Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM), Six Sigma, or other relevant procurement and supply chain certifications
Strong decision-making skills
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities for managing complexities and risks
