This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for manufacturing and project operations. The role ensures that procurement activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the company’s quality standards and policies. This position involves vendor management, contract administration, market analysis, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials to support production, sales, and project delivery objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services for production, projects, and operations.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans that align with business objectives and manufacturing requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and contractors while maintaining a robust vendor database.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to secure optimal commercial and technical outcomes for the company.
Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and compliance standards.
Collaborate closely with Production, Projects, Finance, and Sales teams to forecast material requirements and prevent production delays.
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to proactively manage procurement challenges.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and statutory regulations.
Oversee the preparation and review of purchase orders, bid analyses, and procurement reports for management decision-making.
Work within the ERP system to track purchase requisitions, purchase orders, deliveries, and vendor performance metrics.
Participate in the formulation and review of procurement budgets, cost-saving initiatives, and supplier development programs.
Perform other related functions as assigned to support operational efficiency and strategic business goals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Manufacturing
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent customer management skills
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to transmit information effectively, i.e. in clear, unambiguous terms to customers and distributors.
Ability to write reports in clear terms using a mixture of words, charts, graphs, etc.
