This is a full-time, on-site Procurement Officer role based in Lagos.
The Procurement Officer will manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including identifying suppliers, obtaining quotations, evaluating options, and raising purchase orders in line with company policies.
Responsibilities include negotiating contracts and pricing, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials required for production and operations.
The role involves monitoring inventory levels, analyzing purchasing data, and recommending cost-saving or efficiency-improving initiatives.
The Procurement Officer will collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and continuity of supply for sustainable packaging materials.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and purchasing skills, with experience managing sourcing activities and supplier relationships.
Ability to prepare, review, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
Proficiency in contract negotiation, including terms, pricing, and service levels with vendors and service providers.
Well-developed analytical skills for evaluating supplier performance, costs, and procurement data to support decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Familiarity with procurement or ERP software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilities.
Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices or experience in manufacturing, packaging, or FMCG sectors is an advantage.
