Procurement Officer at Strongmas Residence Development

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers for automotive parts, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions, pricing agreements, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
• Work closely with inventory officer to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely availability of automotive parts and materials.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce procurement expenses without compromising quality or reliability.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that sourced products and materials meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to make informed sourcing decisions and identify potential suppliers.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier reliability, and market fluctuations.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery time, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• BSC/HND in any field of study
• Must have 5 years of experience in the automobile industry
• 3 years as an automobile mechanic or automobile procurement officer
• A strong understanding of the automotive industry, including knowledge of automotive parts, components, suppliers, market trends, etc
• Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers effectively.
• Experience in developing and maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring supplier performance.
• Ability to articulate sourcing strategies, present proposals, and influence decision-making processes.
• Ability to ensure that sourcing processes adhere to company’s ethical guidelines.
