Procurement Officer

- Job Field Procurement / Store-keeping / Supply Chain
Duties / Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals, request RFQs, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Source reliable vendors for materials, services, and equipment
- Review, compare, analyze, and recommend products and services to be purchased
- Monitor suppliers' performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
- Analyze industry and demand trends, and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
Requirements / Skills
- BSc/HND in Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in foreign and domestic procurement in an oil and gas servicing firm
- Knowledge of oilfield equipment, materials, and service contracts.
- Familiarity with NIPEX and Nigerian Content requirements is an added advantage.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills.
