About the Role

• The Procurement Officer will be responsible for driving efficient and sustainable sourcing strategies, ensuring timely availability of materials and services critical to project delivery and operations.
• This role combines strategic procurement, logistics oversight, and inventory management to optimize cost, quality, and operational efficiency.
• The ideal candidate will bring analytical rigor, strong negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of renewable energy supply chains, enabling the company to deliver reliable, affordable energy solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with project timelines and organizational priorities.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers with a focus on cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability standards.
• Conduct market analysis to anticipate price fluctuations, supply risks, and emerging opportunities.

Supplier Management & Compliance:

• Negotiate contracts and service agreements that safeguard the company’s financial and operational interests.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.
• Conduct periodic supplier audits and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Logistics & Distribution Oversight:

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics, ensuring seamless movement of materials from suppliers to project sites.
• Monitor transportation timelines and resolve delays to prevent project disruptions.
• Collaborate with operations teams to align deliveries with construction and maintenance schedules.

Inventory Control & Optimization:

• Oversee stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking, using data-driven forecasting methods.
• Implement controls and reporting systems to track usage, wastage, and replenishment cycles.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all inventory movements.

Financial Stewardship & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate procurement records for budgeting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide regular updates on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier efficiency.
• Support the finance team in planning and forecasting procurement-related expenses.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within the renewable energy, construction, or utilities sectors.
• Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics, contract management, and logistics processes.
• Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards in procurement practices is an advantage.
