The Procurement Manager will lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies to optimize organizational spending and achieve annual performance targets.
Job holder will also support the Procurement and Vendor Management team to plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the technical inventory management as well as vendor management activities of the company.
Job Responsibilities:
Formulate and execute procurement strategies and contingency plans that align with organizational objectives and support business needs.
Achieve cost savings against targets and ensure suppliers conform to service level agreements. Maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and periodically review their performance to ensure quality and value.
Maintain an updated supplier master list and ensure all procurement records are properly maintained and processed promptly.
Supervise the technical equipment and consumables inventory, ensuring item availability for projects and operations.
Assist in all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, and process implementation for goods and services procurement.
Ensure timely procurements to meet project timelines and maintain clear communication with relevant departments.
Collaborate with business leaders to identify requirements, source, contract, and procure necessary goods and services from qualified suppliers.
Track and report CAPEX and OPEX spend performances monthly.
Ensure compliance with policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with the Regulatory and Legal teams as needed.
Review individual team members' performance, complete appraisals, and identify training needs.
Oversee foreign transactions to ensure regulatory compliance, facilitate shipment clearing from customs, and coordinate delivery logistics. Liaise with Finance Operations and banks to process necessary documentation for importing equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with at least 7 years managing a team.
Knowledge of sourcing and procurement technique and dexterity in supply chain management.
Possesses the ability to work effectively and efficiently communicate well.
Excellent methodical, organizational and systems development skills.
Basic knowledge of Networking Essentials, specifically data networks.
Good knowledge of Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
