Procurement/Logistics Manager at Vesselnet Integrated Services Limited

VesselNet is an Energy and Information Technology company that provides end-to-end solutions ranging from civil engineering works, equipment supplies, installations and solar power solutions.

Job Description

• Ensure effective management of Company’s procurement operations (i.e. process purchase requisitions, request quotes, bids from vendors, negotiation, prepare purchase orders & approval memos, stock delivery, payment processing and product fault processing i.e. Returns for Manufacturers Attention).
• Develop terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers and monitor performance to ensure adherence.
• Ensure compliance by monitoring Company’s internal procurement systems & processes.
• Maintain regular interactions with key internal/external stakeholders (e.g. Company staff, vendors, partners, etc.) in ensuring holistic partnership and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with key internal & external stakeholders to ensure the clarity of product specifications and timely delivery of supplies.
• Ensure effective filing of all procurement documents (i.e. purchase requisitions, purchase orders, approval memos, reports, bids and price lists) for easy identification and retrieval
• Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates.
• Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.
• Supervise logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
• Organize warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments.
• Respond to any issues or complaints.
• Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers.
• Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
• Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3years experience in similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain or relevant field
• Good knowledge of local and international industry trends, standards and regulations is essential
• Ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels across the business is essential
• Ability to use relevant software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office package, purchase order systems, etc.) is essential
• In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
• Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
• Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
