Our client a 360-degree Marketing Consult, Support, Strategy development and Business solutions company is seeking to hire a competent and driven Procurement Lead to join its team. 

As the Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process by sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards. 

The role holder will also monitor budgets, track expenditures, and ensure timely procurement to support business operations and must be detail-oriented, proactive, skilled in negotiation and supplier management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing procurement strategies to maximise efficiency and minimise expenses. 
• Assisting in reviewing project budgets to ensure a minimum margin of 40% is maintained. 
• Sourcing and procuring goods and services required for company operations in a timely and cost-effective manner. 
• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, ensuring the best possible prices, terms, and quality standards. 
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favourable pricing and terms. 
• Monitoring supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and delivery schedules.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a smooth supply chain. 
• Tracking procurement expenditures and ensure cost control measures align with financial goals. 
• Conducting supplier evaluations and audits to assess performance and compliance with quality standards. 
• Monitoring market trends, pricing fluctuations, and economic factors that may impact procurement decisions. 
• Assisting in developing contingency plans to mitigate risks related to supplier performance and availability.

Person Specification:

• Bachelor\'s degree / HND in Sciences, Social Sciences, or any related field with at least a second-class upper division (2.1) from a reputable institution. 
• 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management. 
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cost-saving strategies. 
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 
• Good analytical and financial skills to assess pricing and budget impact. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and stakeholder management. 
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
