    Procurement Lead

    Role Overview

    • The Procurement Lead will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, medical supplies, and operational materials across all outlets of the pharmacy chain
    • The role ensures cost‑effective procurement, compliance with Nigerian regulatory standards, and timely delivery to branches, while maintaining strong supplier relationships and optimizing inventory management.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Procurement:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
    • Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance.
    • Ensure procurement aligns with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) and NAFDAC regulations.

    Operations & Distribution:

    • Coordinate stock distribution across multiple outlets nationwide.
    • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to prevent shortages or overstocking.
    • Approve inter‑branch stock transfers and ensure accurate documentation.
    • Collaborate with logistics partners for timely delivery.

    Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure all purchases comply with Nigerian pharmaceutical regulations.
    • Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
    • Implement internal controls to prevent fraud, waste, and inefficiency.

    Financial Management:

    • Work closely with Finance Officer to track procurement budgets.
    • Provide monthly procurement reports to management.
    • Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally in retail pharmacy, FMCG, or healthcare.
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian pharmaceutical regulations (PCN, NAFDAC).
    • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP or procurement software.
    • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
