Procurement Engineer at Ascentech Services Limited

Salary: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 Gross

Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of engineering materials, spare parts, machinery, equipment, and other technical supplies required for smooth manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure engineering spare parts, machinery, equipment, and industrial materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable local and international suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate competitive prices and payment terms.
• Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring timely delivery.
• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Stores, Finance, and QA teams to understand technical requirements.
• Review technical specifications and ensure procured items meet required standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, quality, and costs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular reports.
• Support inventory planning and ensure critical engineering items are available when required.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, HSSE requirements, and ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor\'s Degree/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years\' experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong experience sourcing engineering spare parts, machinery, equipment, and technical materials.
• Good understanding of technical specifications and engineering materials.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in ERP procurement systems and Microsoft Office.
• CIPS/CIPSMN certification is an added advantage.
