Pressure Controlled Equipment (PCE) Technician at SLB

The PCE Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, repair, certification support, and operational readiness of Pressure Control Equipment used in well intervention and coiled tubing operations. The role ensures all equipment is maintained to industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements while supporting safe and efficient field operations.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and certify Pressure Control Equipment (PCE), including coiled tubing BOPs and associated pressure control systems, in accordance with OEM specifications, company procedures, and industry standards.
• Perform equipment function testing, pressure testing, ram changeouts, and maintenance of blind, shear, slip, and pipe rams to ensure operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and readiness for field deployment.
• Provide technical support for well intervention and coiled tubing operations, including equipment preparation, mobilization, rig-up, rig-down, installation support, and troubleshooting during field activities.
• Manage equipment records, maintenance documentation, inventory control, and logistics coordination to ensure efficient equipment utilization and compliance with Nigerian logistics regulations and operational requirements.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and operational excellence by adhering to HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, participating in safety initiatives, and ensuring all pressure control equipment is fit for purpose.

Exposures & Experiences

• HND in Engineering – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, Materials/Metallurgy.
• Minimum of 5years hands-on experience on coiled tubing BOPs, specifically TOT (Texas Oil Tools) ES, EZ, and EH series.
• Must be familiar with Quad, Dual Combi, and Single Combi configurations in nominal sizes 3-1/16”, 4-1/16”, 5-1/8”, and 7-1/16” (10K and 15K).
• Experience with ram change-out, function testing, and maintenance of blind, shear, slip, and pipe rams is required.
• Previous TOT (Texas Oil Tools) training / certification preferred.
• Experience supporting coiled tubing, well intervention, or pressure control operations.
• Strong understanding of pressure control equipment maintenance standards and safe operating practices
